No. This message means that game can't access internet (server/database). Join discord and ask there. Maybe someone who is also on Linux will help you.
Or try to install game from itch.io app. If you have problem with permissions, then it may fix this problem.
Have you played this game before? This build is on unity engine 2020 LTS, but today i will release update on unity 2019 LTS. Maybe your Linux version has some compatibility issues with unity 2020. I am switching back because Mac version wasn't working on 2020.
