A very visually strong game for a game jam - great work! I liked the idea of using radiation clouds to level up your abilities while downgrading others, especially the green ones - things that give me more bullets are always the most fun. It wasn't very clear what they did though without looking at the description, especially since I couldn't see attack power / fire rate on screen, so it would've been nice for some more clarity there. The ship felt a bit heavy to control as well, and like many people have said, it was a little slow and there wasn't much reason to not hold down space the whole way through. I did really like the variety in enemy types though, and how each level added more challenge than the one before, so it didn't get repetitive.

As for the graphics, they were stunning, and I loved them! The whole aesthetic of the game was really nice and I really liked the space theming. The backgrounds were nice, if a bit messy at points, like the galaxies/nebulae in the background, which was a bit jarring compared to how clean the rest of the graphics were. I did really like the rest of the graphics though - the ships and blocks looked very nice and the animations were a nice addition too. The sound design and music were good as well and they helped add a bit more feedback to the gameplay, which was good. It was a really great game overall, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it, so excellent work on it!

I do have plans to add more to the interface in regards to fire rate and damage.  Will also be improving the speed of ship and scrolling. For the nebulae, I was running out of time and rushed myself on those., I probably should have just left them out until I could make them look better, but at the same time I didn't want to leave the background to just parallaxing stars.
Thanks for playing and for the excellent feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it.  Also I want to buy your tileset  for Fission lol!
