The main content of the update was focused on adding the new character, Aldric, and a little bit of extra story for Reth. When you say it ends on day one, are you not able to get to the academy? Day 2's content should be when you are at the academy and meeting Orion, Reth and Qrom. It ends with falling asleep in your dorm room and should send you to the afterword where the "dev" is talking.
