I keep getting an error has occurred and a giant line of code on 0.17. Am i doing something wrong when installing it?? Hoping I don't gotta lose my progress to fix it.

That's odd... I don't know if I uploaded the recompiled Android version here where I used renpy 7.3.5, you could try downloading the one from Patreon, that one is 100% updated...
