it wasn't my first time loading it, I just switched tabs for however long it says and I was in debt for reasons that no one can explain.
NOTE: if this happens to anyone else just prestige as it resets the amount of money
but then you lose all of your upgrades xd
Manually save immediately after prestige, it seems that prestiging on its own leaves a stale save that corrupts the calculations for offline gain.
