Thanks for trying it out and leaving a comment! I should definitely make it more clear how the controls work, oops... Also planned to add more set pieces/triggers so things happen, but ran out of time for a jam submission.
Technically you could eat anything in real life too, but it's not always helpful. 😅
You kind of made it clear in the game, but at first I was just throwing things on the fire, without reading anything haha. It's a interesting concept, I can see a full game like that if you develop the mechanics and maybe story a little more.
Yeah you don't need to store food if you have a bunch of furniture to eat lol
