Yeah it's pretty hard. I'm in the process of rebalancing it and making it less unfair. I'll be releasing a small update for the demo soon with these changes :)
It is a tough game, but I like the challenge! Don't make it too easy now. I love the retro vibe, Im a big retro game fan, so I will be watching this very closely!
