Hello everyone!

Let me share what I could do so far. For those who don't like reading, pictures are below. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • A very simple title screen (rather mock-up with some info).
  • Level generation (very simple so far).
  • Camera that (smoothly) follows the character.

Not much, in fact... ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Things go slower than expected, as usually with software development in general. ๐Ÿ˜€

Meanwhile I learn Godot engine, with it's bugs ๐Ÿ™‚ Fortunately those bugs are not severe and can be worked around (they are usually known by Godot community). In general Godot is a nice engine, and I would recommend it if someone hesitates (at least for 2D games). That's just my humble opinion ๐Ÿ˜Š

For the assets, I use 1-bit pack tileset from KenneyNL (https://kenney.nl/), slightly modifying it step by step. Font is also from KenneyNL.

And here are some screenshots and a GIF.

This is a title screen. Help and Credits menus are still to be done ๐Ÿ™‚

Example of a procedurally generated level (with a player characted in the middle ๐Ÿ™‚).

Another example of a level. ๐Ÿ™‚

And this is a short animation with the player's movements.
