You need to use either his own seed or ropes+slendershroom to weaken him, then use an empty bottle to fetch Rohan's soul, he'll then join the party trying to follow Rohan.
"Never been this close with Anthony" unfortunately has a bug that's been reported earlier for this version, it's a problem I've brought trying to fix another and declaring Anthony being at Amaïr's (the Guardian) location too early to check for the scene. It should happen when he finds you both sleeping together after absorbing Rohan.
The milking pods are indeed a bug ! I apparently forgot to add the command menu you can usually see for most interactions. It will be fixed in the next version.
