For your modifications: Increased level difficulty is pretty vague, depending on what you are doing to make it harder you could have modifications within that, like more difficult enemies, unique level layouts, etc. Otherwise your proposed modifications sound good, although please be more descriptive about the changes you do end up making in your final submission so it is clear for us what to look for.
