Thank you for the constructive critique! If we end up going back to this game, transparency is the first thing we will aim to emphasize, along side some more animations.
As for it getting stuck, that appears to be a bug we caught to late to fix. In that event, unfortunately right now the only thing that can be done is to restart. Still looking into as to why that occurs.
