Game-breaking Bug

I've run into a problem that seems to completely prevent the game being finished. It closed unexpectedly (I think because I pressed space - the game seems to close/crash if I hit any key on the keyboard) right around the time I finished one of those "keep your brain in the white bar to regain control" minigames. Now whenever I load, the game is stuck on pause.

It's not frozen - I can open the objectives and whatnot - but time has essentially stopped, making it impossible to complete. I'm playing on Ubuntu if that makes any difference.

Great work on the game, by the way. There was a bit of a learning curve to get started but once I got the hang of setting up trains I found it really gripping. I can't face starting over right now but I'm sure I'll come back to this in future.

Honestly, I'm really not sure what that might be and it's been a long time since I worked on the game, so I have no ideas off the top of my head. Try pressing the 1 and 2 keys as that might be able to reset the game speed. If that doesn't work, try pressing ESC 4 or 5 times and then try unpausing again. There might be some hidden menu that's keeping the game paused.

I'm glad you like the game! I hope this solves your issue.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, pressing any key will crash the game so I can't fix it that way - but if anyone else runs into one problem without the other then it seems as though it might.

Here's the error that appears when I crash the game by using the keyboard, in case it helps. But if you've moved on from the project I understand.

Ah, I'm really not sure what that is. It might be a Linux thing. I don't really have a way to make a new build for that right now. I'm sorry.

No worries. I notice that when I load a save it begins during that minigame, so that might be a factor: it's possible the game initially crashed at a particularly unfortunate time and that's why I'm run into issues when I start up again. In any case, I'm not particularly concerned about a new build: what I've played through worked well and I'm sure I'll come back to the game as it stands now.

Thank you for being so understanding. I hope you have fun when you come back to the game.
