Nice idea, didn't quite understand the premise of the game, but for a first jam submission and for it to be an online multiplayer it's pretty decent, good stuff!

Thanks for the feedback and for playing! Yeah the premise is really basic and kind of falls flat as a game. But I had a ton of fun and learned way more than I expected!

I wonder if something like that could've been a real Nokia game. It did have data support via WAP...

While I’m sure it could have possibly done some rudimentary online things, I doubt it would have sustained a real-time UDP connection over GSM :)

There’s this old article talking about how WAP worked and that GPRS and 3G was the new best thing in 2000: https://www.computerweekly.com/feature/Wap-Waiting-for-bandwidth

maybe i was doing something wrong but i couldn't get the game to work? I've pressed each arrow keys and it doesn't do anything, just plays the sound and that's it..

I was on windows and i was stuck on the start screen where you can choose between play and the help menu

ah okay thanks! I definitely need to make it more more clear that you just gotta hit enter to start or space to show the help menu. Thanks for the feedback!
