Anyone having trouble running Freerider on an old computer, first you can try to lower the resolution by adding command line parameters to the .exe file. For example:
-screen-fullscreen 0 -screen-width 800 -screen-height 450
If that still doesn't help, here is a tip from one person who had trouble running freerider on an old computer:
"I right clicked on the freerider.exe file and went to properties. then clicked on the Compatibility tab and reduced the settings to 8 bit (256) color and 640x480 res. Then I hit the apply button. [...]I'm much happier with Freerider now and I hope that other windows users will find this useful, and maybe a bit better/easier than adding screen resolution command lines to the exe file."
