I think found a glitch on the relationship scale for Reth. When I chose the "Fight Back" it increase and when I picked "Play Nice" it decrease.
That is correct. Different characters react to things differently so you'll need to figure out how best to interact with each.
So it's a bug that I stated?
Sorry, it is not a bug. Playing nice results in a loss of points for Reth at that time based on his personality and character.

Somehow I suspect the way to gain Reth’s heart is to sneak up and nab it out of his pocket while he’s distracted.
As a rogue he may or may not admire that ;)
