Well, I guess thats a negative way of looking at it. The intent is to reward those who support or supported whichever game, and is actually pretty common for many games.

you buy the game here for $20 and then have to spend another $5 or $10 just to get the cheat code for which changes month to month with updates to keep you paying money. sounds like a sketchy scam to me. how else is anyone supposed to look it?

The codes are usually changed when non-patrons get a hold of them and start passing them around. I dont think the code has changed maybe once or twice with this game, if that, but it isn't meant to be a money gig, so take from that what you will.

i'm not paying another $10 just to get a cheat code for a game that i BOUGHT. thats literally $30 for this game, that isnt even done. thats just stupid.

When you buy a game do you complain that you don' get the pre-order bonus ?
The code is like a pre-order bonus, reserved to a few people that follows me on patreon.
In addition nowhere on the itch page the code is mentioned, it's just not sold here.

Please remember that without the patreon crowd there would be no game to play, they trusted me before anyone and deserve some perks for that.

Finaly the code will be made public soonish.

Game is easy enough without the codes. All it does is make speed running to and through events easier.
