Theme interpretation
I always pictured why dogs (and other animals) look up at the moon and just thought: Why not just make it a dog's journey to find a way to the moon!

The artwork is quite nice - the dog is very cute. I found the control quite clunky and difficult though, it could definitely do with a bit more polish. I saw in an earlier comment that this was perhaps your first time using lua/love - I hope you keep at it! :)

Gotta say, that pixel art is really pretty. The gameplay needs some good polishing but reading the previous comment I can understand why.
Love2D has some really good libraries to develop games, you should try taking a look at those.
The theme interpretation is really interesting, I liked it.
It would have been good to add some kind of SFX and music though.
Keep practicing, that pixel art can go a long way!

Would appreciate if you also checked our game: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2020/rate/839948

I had' to download a "OpenAL32.dll" and put it in the game folder to play.

The animation is stuck in a walk-loop.
I would have liked if I could jump through the branches and smaller ledges from the bottom.
The level after that yeti-thing had a location in the bottom left where you can dropt through the floor.
After reaching that floathing ghost-thing I got this error

Error

Hello, thank you for the comment!~
We spent a lot of time trying to get familiar with Lua and Love2D during this so we weren't able to get everything working the way we wanted. The branches and small ledges were intended to be as you described but we ran out of time.
As for falling through the floor, that is no accident. It is there to basically make you upset. There were supposed to be visual changes on entering a hidden path such as that one, but again, we ran out of time.

We are unsure why you had to download something else to play the game, but we added the missing file in case anyone else runs into a similar error. We  have since fixed the error preventing you from playing the rest of the game as well. So please go back and enjoy the rest of the game.

Thank you.
