** I didn't include any critique in my video; it is the original gameplay and commentary, edited to enhance the comedic elements of the session.  Game critique is included below.

Pink immediately stands out to the uninitiated as your everyday-ordinary pixel-art styled game with a very simplistic concept and just enough originality to rouse the senses; however, it is much more deeper than the thumbnails and even the personal descriptions lead you to believe.  I love that! I have so many questions that I don't mind leaving unanswered because that makes this adorable short-horror game more memorable. I think there is a psychological aspect to this as well as a body-horror aspect as afterwards, I couldn't help but stare at the end screen and imagine what I would do in a similar predicament. Anything unnatural growing inside my body is definitely something I rarely want to think about. I still haven't figured out what the significance is behind the everything-is-a-shade-of-pink palette but I am surprised at how the color choice, art style and even the appearance of an unassuming female protagonist put me at ease which made the ending all the more impressive. Admittedly, I'm a little disappointed in myself as I was seriously doubting just how effective a game like this could be when I should have learned from my days of playing Undertale...

All-in-all, great work!

** Question: how long did it take you to think of the concept behind the game or was it several little thoughts and ideas over a period of time that you were finally able to put together to create this project and what was your inspiration?

I appreciate the critique.  I originally planned to share this game with just my personal friends, and I only made it available publicly on a whim.  I've been pleasantly surprised by the positive reception.

I came up with the idea for Pink after I cleaned some upsetting-looking pink gunk out of a wet saw filter.  That got me mulling over how I could make the color pink scary.  I had a rough idea for the plot floating around in my head for a few months.  When I decided I wanted to make a short game for my first project, this story felt like a good choice.
