Fun game! I think you could improve it a bit by adding some acceleration for your ship and blinking the enemies when they got hit.

I think you did just fine regarding theme interpretation! And also with the game. Is that Godot C# I see? Good stuff. I think my only major criticisms would be similar to the ones below. I think you should probably look into extending this game and replacing the art with your own work and publishing it for Android. :) Bonus points for Godot!

Fun little game! I think the theme interpretation is reasonable given the game jams description so no worries there. Couple things I found confusing about the game were 1) what do I do with the scrap I collect? and 2) how can I tell when my missile is ready to launch again? Nice crisp and transitions, was that all with Godot's animator?
