Interesting! I can pass you a long list of articles I used for documentation ;)

But cultural appropriation, you say? Tsk tsk

"Cultural appropriation" is a concept that only exists in the USA. Please, don't force your local issues on the rest of the world: interculturality is a thing and has always been. It's enriching for every culture involved, not theft or lack of respect.

Even if my depiction of the Middle Ages Arabian world is not 100% historic, I already stated it's well documented and it tries to recreate the atmosphere of the 1001 Nights, which might not be appreciated by the current Arabic world, but it was definitely one of the most beautiful and influential literary works in the Middle Ages, with a huge comeback during the European romanticism in the 19th century.

Bringing the 1001 Nights and its beautiful, fresh and racy stories closer to contemporary readers, especially the young people who tend to read more digital literary works than classics, can only be a positive outcome. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
