That's an ambitious entry! There is a very good idea and we can see there is a lot of dev done yet. However the gameplay still needs to be developped. 

As writes Jonty, you quickly find yourself just waiting for sequences - and that can be loooong. Sometimes you also blindly click to get hints, like brutal force.

Perhaps you could allow the player to change the speed on the DNA chain? Or propose 3or 4 paralell chains, so there is more chance to find a good sequence? You could also give hints only when the" combing" matches the known pattern.

I'm just giving propositions, because I loved your idea but it doesn't completely work in the current state, for me.

My starting design idea was not exactly what I have done here and I was lacking of time (and I have exceeded the time limit by far) so yeah what you see here is not a very good design ;)
