Had good fun with it, simple and effective concept. I was trying the make a mental 3D map of the levels when goign through, which is a difficult exercise! For your own sanity, please tell me your level editor was in 3D (x_x")
Uh... no. No it wasn't. Multiple reasons, don't question it. Anyhow it was easier for me to learn how to make levels like this than to solve any one of the other problems.
