Did the monster count limit present an interesting design challenge?
Yes but not in the way I expected! After constructing the level before placing any monsters, I found it difficult to place 20 monsters without making the level too crowded.

Short & intense map. Good use of the doom textures.

While I like the layout of the encounters, they could be a bit harder.

Chocolate-doom doesn't raise the floor and ceiling of the last room. I also had a trouble in gzdoom, where only the pillar in the middle was raised, but not the room around.

Good to know. It was a weird trick I was trying to experiment with and I'm not shocked to learn it doesn't work everywhere. If I try anything similar in the future I'm going to have to be really thorough in testing- the time limit caught up to me this time. Thanks!

Minor update 11/10/20

- Changed file name to be the title of the level

- Fixed two linedefs that were not marked as impassable, and allowed you to exit the bounds of the level if you hit them from the right angle (whoops!)

Very nice architecture, solid visuals and verticality. Really feels like it could become a longer map with a very interesting flow between encounters. I just had a problem with the sky rendering which I'm sure can be easily fixed. Very cool map.

Yeah by the end I was eager to upload and completely forgot to give it a run-through in software mode. Easy fix (thanks for the tip on twitter!), I've fixed it and re-uploaded now, so should be good to go!

Thanks!
