Actually I am quite fine with the 16x16 size characters now, as I changed the tiles to fit the new size. Still I am wondering if you would be interested to do more monster of the same size? Here is a video of the game (on Atari Jaguar) so far:

Very cool, phoboz. I love to see people developing for old consoles and want to try my hand at it one day myself.

I don't want to rule out future monster packs, but it isn't a priority for me right now.

If/when I make more monster packs, they'll be at the same scale as this pack so that they can be used together in the same project.

Great, I hope that you will. I got the feedback from the community (Atari Age forum) that people are really looking forward to this game, as there were not many RPGs for the Atari Jaguar (only one in first person perspective)

I am now using all the monsters, with all the animation frames in the game. There are enough for levels, because 4 monsters are available from start, and 2 new types appear per level. Perhaps I will reuse the existing ones, but with other colors for the stronger ones.

Love how you have the forest open up into clearings.
