Distorted graphics in app

I just bought and downloaded the map editor, and whenever I run it, it comes up with all the buttons distorted with diagonal voids. It renders the whole app mostly unusable.

I tried 64 and 32 bit versions, and 15.4, and all of them do the same. Any help to solve the issue would be appreciated, as it doesn't do this on the web-based application.

Hi! It looks like a driver issue 馃 Could you please try the following:

  • update your graphic card driver,
  • make sure that, if your computer has 2 graphical cards (eg. laptops), that RPG Map uses the best one and not the basic onboard card (you should be able to change that from the card settings)
  • try the OpenGL version of RPG Map if nothing else work.

Thank you for the info. I tried to update my driver on the graphics card on the laptop but it says I have the best one available. Windows Update also said that I am fully up to date on updates.

When I tried to open the OpenGL version, it told me that I needed to update the driver to my graphics card.

It might be a hardware problem, in that the laptop and card are getting a little old now. I've included a screen shot of the Device Manager text box about updating if that helps.

Hmm. Do you have 2 graphic cards on this laptop (eg. the internal Intel one + another one)?

Only the internal card. I tried installing and using the 32 bit version but it told me to update my drivers. The problem there being my drivers are as up to date as they can be.
