About a year ago (end of October 2019) Steam was updated in a manner that's turned it into a health hazard for many people with migraines and epilepsy. Valve were warned about it within days of the update, and since then have also found out that it's affecting people with vertigo too. In response, they've actively made the problem worse instead of better. I'd say "garbage" is a more polite description than it deserves at this stage.
