”… Thanks(?)” :)

Sadly, some of them are giving me nothing to work with. “[…] this doesn’t work lma” What kind of problem is that even supposed to be? Did they try to run the game on Mac…? What solutions did they try so far? Do they know even how to extract a file…? There are answers to these and other issues right here in the comments, but I can’t confirm or deny them as working. All I’ve given to them is the hint to maybe, just maybe, try to look into how to solve their issue. I want to help, but I’m not Innersloth (the dev), an employee from the itch.io support or an itch.io moderator. So when I see a post like this, rather than completely ignoring it because they “don’t deserve help” or something along those lines, I add a little something extra. Maybe they will feel the slightest bit ashamed when they read their original post again. Personally, I think that’s better than leaving them to their fate… If someone disagrees, that’s cool with me, but I thought I’d take the time to explain my philosophy. Worst case scenario: I wasted my time. Best case scenario: You might see reason in what I did and can apply the same principles when you want to help - without having to feel that nothing will change if you just do everything for them. Help them to help themselves. :)
