Open among us then join a game. Click on the laptop that says customize and click "Pet". After you click that click the dollar or money sign beside the "X". You will see different pets there that you can purchase.
On the PC version, pets are locked behind use of Steam. Which, given that Steam has been a known health hazard for many users for almost a year, is not a strategy which I'm going to be spending money on.
