Unfortunately i run into errors when trying to play with a controller. when using it i get an error "Cannot read '_buttons' of undefined" when trying to open the items tab in menu.
While RPG Maker has some controller support, it's rather limited. The main input options are keyboard + mouse/touchpad so it's safer to stick with them.
