Glad you liked it! I have no idea whether I have the gamemaker license required to export a version that runs in browser, but it's something I'll look into for my next jam to be sure.

The game will accept just holding down the shift key if that helps. I had mapped shooting to the spacebar at first, but then moving diagonally and shooting at the same time seemed to be over my keyboard's rollover, so I made the swap. I actually wanted to add an autofire button to the game but since I'm bad at time management, that remained with the tutorial, the second level, and the dialogue system in the design doc lmao

I meant a downloadable game that didn't require installation. I don't personally use GMS but I'm sure I've played games made with GMS that just required unzipping and double-clicking the .exe to start playing. For example Poop de Poule or RGB farm.
