If you download the new EXE, it should automatically pick up your old save data. Note there is one bug (I'm working on) which will cause one treasure chest not to open when using an old save file

So, wait, how does that work? I have both zips downloaded and extracted. Do I stick the new EXE into the old folder? I have little to no knowledge on this sort of thing. Awesome to get a response from the dev though. Great game (I'm sure you've heard).

Edit/Update: I tried (in copy versions of everything to be safe) to copy the old EXE into the new folder and run that. I believe that this worked. Anything else I should consider or is this the entirety of the recommended solution?

Sorry that I wasn't clear! The save data is stored somewhere else entirely - so you could delete the entire directory and redownload the game, and your save should still be there.

That said, it's probably best not to mix and match files from different versions, since it could have weird side effects.

Oh, alright, that's a lot simpler. I guess I really overcomplicated things for myself. Thanks for the help!
