Well I pick it up because I'm wondering how someone first Visual Novel/Indie Game will look like, but to my surprise it's actually pretty good. You can feel the specialty of each character which makes them unique (although it is still a premature judgment due to the short duration of the VN currently is, it's still on volume one), but of course it's an oc you develop for a long time. The art looks nice and cute, colorful but not that excessive, you played it good by emphasis what excessive in their world is by showing Zelly fashion design or the concept of Dinosaur as something from myth, separating from what the Dream Elf consider normal.

Something that I think could be improved is probably the background scene, as I don't really think it blends it quite well with the Dream elves, but as the protagonist say, I do not impose this. The writing of the protagonist can also be improved as sometimes it is hard to differentiate between the thought of the protagonist and the word the protagonist actually says, but once again, I do not impose this.

What really needs to be improved is the music. The music were the same for almost the whole part of the game, making all the changes of scenery and situation feels a little bit bland.

I think that's all that I can note, can't wait for Volume II of this Visual Novel. Good job at making this visual novel.

Hi, I just saw your Let's Play and I'm just so happy to read all this!!
I didn't think anyone outside of my small friend group would be checking it out, let alone comment and making a video, so it was a really lovely surprise! :D

Each volume is going to be focused on a single character, the second one actually being about the brother character Blade, and the following ones being about other characters, from other places in the dream world :D In a way it's meant to introduce newcomers to the series, and to have those already familiar with it learn a bit more about it.

I too have some problems with the drawn backgrounds tbh haha
The only original background is for the sewing workshop which I commissioned from an artist, while all the others are from free-to-use websites, and the same goes for the music :D I will keep in mind to vary it more and also tweak the writing a bit, thank you!

Also since you asked in the video, "YCH" stands for "Your character here" which is a term used by artists to refer to character bases :D The protag is meant to be a self-insert of the player, so they're quite literally a base hahaha
They had a blueish white tone as to keep their race vague as in that they can be anyone :D

I wasn't thinking about continuing this game since I tend to hop from project to project, but this really motivated me to keep going <3 I barely just started the writing on Volume II, but I'm really looking forward to share it once it's done

Who knows, maybe I'll get out of my comfort zone and actually try to draw the backgrounds for once LOL
Again, thank you so much for taking the time to record the game and leave your feedback, it really means a lot to me <:)

Ah I see, that's why I don't understand what YCH is. I thought I'm some kind of boomer already and didn't get the trend, but apparently it's a word mostly known among artist, which I'm not. And also, now that you mention the workshop, I realize that it is indeed look different from the rest of the place and actually fit with the vibe of the vn and the characters.

I feel good to be able to make you motivated and happy. If you do develop another volume I'll be glad to check it out, and make sure that this time I lower the game volume a little bit during my recording. Thanks for developing this vn.
