Sorry you're having trouble with the game, looking for a way to make the game work faster! Are you on OSX? Also, the game saves automatically, so quitting the game should be fine.
I use Windows. I started the game again and I eliminated the other one... Sometimes when you have the game advanced, it goes a little slow, but I was able to finish (I think) the game.
