How am i supposed to patch up the air filter in the escape pod? I tried the obvious solution (duct tape) but no joy. Am I missing something?
There are other things in the escape pod that will help you accomplish your task

figured that out but only got a spork, first aid kit, and air filter. Jammed the round air filter in the square hole, but it won't let me duct tape the air gaps
We all thought the same thing. This time tape won't fix it.
Someone gave a good hint for this - it's a "foamy" solution - but not the liquid kind.
One of the items you got in the pod needs to be used to get what you need.
