Hey Zeph,

Yeah it is technically a sequel, as it continues upon my original game "Dissolution", but the story is self-contained and does not require any knowledge of Dissolution to play and understand. Keep in mind Dissolution was only a 14 hour game, where as Dark Eternal is 45-50, so in essence you can think of Dissolution as more of an optional prelude story.

Thanks for the reply. I did have another question - is there a chance of this being uploaded in such a way that I can play it straight from the itch.io application, and not just have the installer sitting in the itch folder? Not a dealbreaker at all, it would just be very slightly more convenient.

Hey Zeph,

I didn't realize the app had an issue running the game, thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I'll research how itch needs me to upload the game in order to run natively in the app and release a patch sometime in the near future.

Good news, it was actually quite a bit easier than I anticipated.

You should now be able to launch the game natively in the app, although you will need to uninstall/reinstall first.

Thanks again for bringing this to my attention!
