Can I take a project that is already ready, but change it so that it matches the theme?
I think you can but it probably will not be well received because it takes the fun away of making a game in such a short amount of time.
But I think its better to have some basic structure ready, like game manager, audio manager, input manager. I mean just the redundant code.
