As you’ve probably figured out by now, there are only 3 card types (rock-paper-scissors), and they’re always in a 2/2/2 ratio. In this version the enemy always picks a random card. The first round really is a random outcome (1 in 3 chance you win), but no matter how it goes, after the round you get a chance to remember what type 2 of the characters are. By the second round there are still 4 unknown cards left. Whenever you take damage, a resonance effect always triggers - at that moment the 4 cards next to yours are revealed. You can use this as scouting, paying for that info with HP. And once you’ve memorized who is who, you can successfully attack the enemy.
I was planning to make a campaign mode where a tutorial at the very start would teach the basics of the strategies, and the difficulty would ramp up with each level, but unfortunately I didn’t have time to implement it.
Either way, thanks for taking the time to play the game and leave a comment, I really appreciate it!
