Okay, the issue is resolved. The dialog windows did pop up where it shouldn't next to fireplace, but the quest works correctly. For anyone having the same problem: I've mistaken the cave for the cave in the well. You should go to the cave where green slimes where. I wanted to tp there, but it was blocked so I assumed the location itself is locked. It's not but you have to go there without teleporting, that's all.
