I think Katakis is one of the absolute high points of shoot ’em ups on the C64. I’m working on this completely on my own, without Rainbow Arts behind me ;)
If I had managed to make it that good, I probably would have priced it at a minimum of €10 :D

Thanks anyway, I really appreciate your kind words!

I don’t mean to belittle your work in any way. For a one-man homebrew game, it’s a really great-looking and very playable C64 Shmup. Of course, it’s hard to compete with ‘Katakis’, even though that was also developed by just a small team. But a team of three very talented people, backed financially by a company like RA and working full-time on a project, can naturally achieve much more, so the comparison is a bit unfair. To show my respect for your work, I’ve just bought a copy of Voidlancer. Btw: if you ever develop a game inspired by ‘Turrican’, I can showcase it at our stand at Gamescom. ;-)

PS: What about releasing a physical copy  of Voidlancer?

No worries at all,I was being ironic too, and I absolutely didn’t take your comment badly. :)

And thank you very much for buying a copy of VOID LANCER — although... not the Supporter Edition??? ;P

As for a Turrican-inspired game, I think the C64 has already been very well served there! (maybe from Rainbow Arts too) ;) But now I’m curious: why Turrican in particular? Is it a personal favourite of yours, or is there something specific you’d love to see in a new C64 game inspired by it?

For my next project, I was actually thinking about something more inspired by Truxton.

At the same time, I’m also working on a special version of VOID LANCER for the C64 Ultimate, with improved graphics and some enhancements specifically designed to take advantage of the machine.

And about Gamescom: if I understood you correctly, you mean that if I develop a suitable future C64 game, you could actually showcase it at your stand there. If so, that’s a very generous offer, and definitely something I’d be very interested in discussing further when the time comes.

By the way, I’m curious, who exactly do you represent at Gamescom, or which stand/group are you part of? I didn’t quite understand that part.

Regarding a physical edition of VOID LANCER: yes, that’s definitely something I’m considering.

Thanks again for the support! :)
