Thank you for playing! That's a really sharp observation. Honestly, I didn't consciously set up that contrast between the sweater and the relationship. The starting point was this question: we're supposed to have endless choices, but are we actually being led to pick the "optimal" answer by an AI algorithm? I'm really glad the story came across to you that way, though.
