from the very first peek into the main menu, i am greeted with a nostalgic sense of comfort. the music is slow and melodic, the chalk paints this gorgeous silhouette against the warm yellows, reds, oranges. moving forward, i am welcomed into a childhood summer, the sun slowly setting - and then interrupted all at once.

i love the textures, the physicality that reaches out to me from behind the screen, the scrawled notes on ripped pieces of paper, the gorgeous animation of cat's cradle. the clay gives me this sense of a game like hylics, which you use just as well in a sense of creepiness but also peculiarity that draws me in wanting more.

i so wanted to this be longer - i will really eagerly be looking forward to the extended version. such a lovely little piece of art <3

thank you so much for such a thorough comment <33

YES hylics was a big touchstone for me in this project. I love how that game presents a bizarre little world and asks you to move through it, even when it doesn't make logical sense. And I think the tactility of that game is what helps ground it and keep it from flying too far off into the unknown.

i will try to deliver more when my army of small dolls return from the clay mines 🫡
