feel kinda stupid to have paid for it.. but here's an advice:
it didn't work on my machine, as they changed how gatekeeper works on macOS.
to fix it, I replaced xattr -d com.apple.quarantine "$@" with xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine "$@"
maybe you can fix it for future people
