maybe it's because i suck at metroidvanias, or my laptop's very slow, but the controls seemed quite clunky? however, the game's artstyle is VERY cool, and i can tell there's lots of effort put into it.
What about the movement feels clunky? The controls feel very smooth on my end, just a regular platforming controller.
