Very clever :) I can’t beat the part where I ought to remap the dash function. I can’t seem to figure out how to do that. No key is reacting, neither by pressing the actual key or use on of the key buttons below the game window. Am I just missing the gimmick in that stage?

As part of the puzzle/gimmick, the Dash module doesn't have a key assigned by default. Once you pick up the Dash module, you need to open the menu with ESC and manually assign a key for it under the Controls tab to use it!

To help players out, I made it so pressing ESC right after picking it up directly opens the Controls tab, but seeing that it's still confusing, I definitely need to rethink how to make this clearer and more intuitive.

Hope this helps, and thanks a lot for the valuable feedback!

That’s what I figured, but I can’t reassign any key. Key presses are not registering. Btw, also the movement of the player I’ve done with mouse, since pressing the pre-assigned keys (A,D, SPACE, etc.) do not move the player at all. It seems like the canvas doesn’t get the focus.

Edit: Skip that! It works today, yesterday I couldn’t use any keyboard keys. I have no idea what went wrong. Consider the case closed :)

What a relief!Still, canvas focus issues can be tricky on the web, so I’ll keep an eye on that to make sure clicks reliably focus the game.

Thanks for the update, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the game!

Completed the demo now. Very clever ideas there, love it! :)

The full game is planned to release in early October, and it will feature a lot more fun and clever gimmicks! It’s expected to be priced at just $0.99.
