Don't mind me disagreeing, but I don't think it needs to be reassigned. It works just as well as it does in original MMX, and same input. I find the trick to be quick and light with the button command. It was not consistent in the early versions of this game, but has been pretty easy to execute since it's been cleaned up. Besides, there's already a special button command for the punch and kick moves.
