Try checking your hidden saves folder: go to any folder and make sure hidden folders are displayed by clicking "view" -> "show" and check the option to display hidden folders. Now, to actually find the folder, it should be in "user" -> AppData -> Roaming -> RenPy -> Tvern_of_Spear-1 ("user" is whatever you set as your username for your pc), that has copies of the saves across all versions of tavern of spear, that's how you are able to delete a version and still find your saves when you download a newer one, but, more importantly, it should have a folder named "sync" inside, maybe it is not there and your pc cannot save your files in it? If it is not there, make one (make sure it is literally called "sync", no caps!), if it is there... delete it instead, it has given issues in some other cases, then try again and see if that solves it.
