Guys don't judge, puberty hits some of us a little harder, that's all

(Good game, enjoyed it! I like how the music stayed cheerful throughout it :D)

Theory: (spoilers of course)

At first I thought that the dad was experimenting on other people, and they were the pińatas we were beating up, but the way we (the main character) mutated throughout it made me think instead that the dad was experimenting on US, and as our body became more and more messed up, so do the piñatas as a reflection of what we're becoming, and in the end our freedom is choosing to die and escape the life our father made of us

Though that would make the piñatas metaphorical, despite the description implying they are alive. So I'm not actually sure! Maybe thy are/were people and he experimented on us as well as them (maybe they were the training course and we were his magnum opus, cuz we're just cool like that), or maybe they really are teddybears he brought to life just for the hell of it ig, I have no clue and that's kinda fun :D Leaves more to be revealed :0

Also!

Excellent work! The pixel art is very nice and I honestly really liked the upgrade menu being building up our house, it was a unique layout compared to most incremental games, and I appreciated it! I also didn't realise it was a horror game at first (skimmed the description) and as soon as I saw the mention of 'mutations' in the upgrades I was like,,,,, hm. That seems horror gamey. Thus I checked and lo and behold, the game was horroring, but I was not dismayed for it was an excellent game :D Also, the smacking is satisfying, great sound design!

And shoutout to my turtles, the real MVPs
