I just downloaded and ran it on real C64 hardware. Pretty cool game!
A bit more explanation is in order to understand what's going on. What is the player sprite supposed to be? An IC extractor?

EDIT: Take the above two paragraphs of the game description on this page and put it into the game. It will greatly improve playability. Also, add the game's itch.io URL to the game for future reference. Overall, nice project!

My experience is most people don't read instructions so I went with putting them into the game's description (above) and then did a shortened version of what you need to accomplish on each screen in the game prior to each screen transition. Also the video posted shows how to get through each screen.
My goal was to have a game that required a little bit of strategy and thinking versus just shoot everything.
