Has anyone figured out what's the meta for boss battles? I'm maxed out at 999 for every stat, I tried grinding good gear but it barely raises your stats compared to vortex Battle Ready bonus, which is tedious grind in itself - each jump I have to manually move to location that has runes, turn on autoexplore, buy all clone upgrades, tick autobuy and click form body circa 50 times because autobuy would take 25 minutes. It's doable in a minute but I'd have to repeat it all 50 times to get another Battle Ready level and each jump resets resources, so I can't build or research anything expensive while grinding portal jumps. Grinding 50 jumps is not fun at all in itself.

I thought I'd get some quality of life upgrade along the way that automates the jumps but after beating the 3rd boss I just got an unlock that's not even implemented yet. I feel like the game is working against you in the grind to beat bosses.

so far for me two pieces of gear that has accuracy. then looking for total dmg and my main dmg stat on gear has pulled me through. as much as i hated doing it too battle ready 9 seemed to be where i really started getting a quick bump up for the boss battles

you get there by grinding gear

it's a slog

  • make sure you set the level of the battle manually
  • attack the highest level you can manage at a decent pac
  • pick an location to fight based on the gear you want right now (see bestiary)
  • while you are in the bestiary, check the drop chance and rarity, if it's low, you will take forever to get anything,
  • you need to get item drop% and rarity% up while also being strong enough to increase the fight level
  • eventually you will auto-trash anything except epic gear
  • a lot of bonuses are garbage, exactly which ones suck will change as you progress
  • you can watch the fight to get an idea of what you need
    • if yo don't see the enemy bar going down with every hit, get accuracy up
    • if you recover health only slowly, get more healing (of some kind, try leeching)
  • you can check the stats to see what is working and what isn't
    • get enough health to take a hit or two
    • get enough heal to heal up before you take the next hit
    • get enough damage (depends on multiple factors) to kill faster
    • enough drop% and rarity% to get good gear fast
    • you need to keep up with accuracy, but only enough to hit most of the time
