Awesome game! :) It's cool to see a similar approach to the one I had!

I love the overall aesthetic. The kid-friendly style combined with the horror elements is one of my favorite twists! Everything fits together really well: the UI, the 3D models, and the environment.

I also really like the lights on/off system, but I couldn't figure out what triggers it.

A few suggestions if you want to continue developing the game:

  • Allow players to skip the intro by simply grabbing the weapon and walking out of the door. Once the door closes behind the player, the intro-dialog should end!
  • The post-processing line that moves across the screen is a little to strong for my taste!
  • Animate the "rec" Dot (simple on/off animation) :)

Hi there! That's some great feedback wow thank you so much! The points you mentioned are some of the things we discussed and some we ended up forgeting (liek the REC dot, we were supposed to do a simple "blinking"  animation but forgot cus it was one last minute add before we did the build). The skip intro part is a really good idea actually, since we have the hint texts appear after, the player doesn't necessarely have to listen to it all (just if they want to listen to the introduction lore)

As for the lines moving across the screen, you are not te first person to mention it we actually thought of having and enable/disable button or making it softer for a general "fix".

The lights off/on are triggered by several factors:

  1. From X to X seconds, thee lights have a probability to blink like they are going out, the more they blink, the closer the lights out is (sometimes it will trick you and blink red, and sometimes it can go lights out without previou warning)
  2. As you go from lights out to lights on, it's like you passed a round, and if you didn't identify/kill any impostor, the dificulty will increase, they will get more cautious, but more likely to go directly to you during lights out instead of roaming behind you or pretending to be friendly, sometimes the impostor will pass by you duting lights out and you will not even notice, cus they have a 70/30 % chance of prettending or attacking you if you are looking directly at them
  3. as the rounds pass and you don't kill impostors, the lights out will be more frequent, indirectly making it more dificult cus the impostors will only kill you when lights are out.
